Countries with 'huge' population should not try to grow rapidly - Thoughts?

Countries like China and India should not try to grow rapidly and become a super power. When countries with huge population try to grow fast, most of the time, it widens the gap between the rich and poor. This will create imbalance to the economy. Some claim that creating rich mass would allow money to flow down to the poor and slowly entire nation would slowly grow. At first sight, this might appear correct but it is impossible. When a country with vast population grow faster, it is easier for richer to become more richer and middle income group to make more money. While this economic activity is happening, unknowingly the poor segment is pushed further back and hence widens the gap between rich and poor. Slowly this gap would become huge and problematic. We might start seeing filthy rich on one side and pathetic poor on the other. What would this bring? It is human nature to feel jealous. Jealousy might cultivate enemity and this inturn would create controversies, conflicts and contentions. This phenomenon would happen when countries try to grow rapidly. So, where would this lead to ....A revolution?

Any thoughts....
